National Marine Safety Committee

The National Marine Safety Committee is an intergovernmental committee established in 1997 by COAG to achieve national uniform marine safety legislation, standards, practices and safety education, throughout Australia.
The Committee has an independent chair Neil Aplin and is managed by CEO Margie O'Tarpey.
The Committee consults widely with industry, government and the community, and invites industry members to sit on a range of reference, advisory and safety panels.
