BIASA SUPPORTS CLUB MARINE SA BOAT & FISHING SHOW, CLUB MARINE SA BOAT & FISHING AND 4WD AND ADVENTURE SHOW 5-7 OCTOBER 2012

27 January 2012

The Club Marine SA Boat & Fishing Show, now in its third year, has received the endorsement of the BIASA as a “complementary industry event”.

Show Director Ian Digby said he is extremely pleased to be associated with the BIASA, saying it is important for the Show to be given such recognition.

“The BIASA has been working with the Club Marine SA Boat & Fishing Show since last year, and we are looking forward to a long partnership,” Ian said.

“It is important for both parties to have this strong connection, and we are looking forward to working together for the good of the industry. The Show is used as an
avenue to promote boating and fishing in the community, and is a valuable marketing and selling tool for the industry.”

“Having the support and endorsement of the BIASA helps assure the Show’s longevity and gives it a great boost for further growth and development. We had an increase of visitors in 2011 – with 13,000 people attending across the weekend, a 22% increase on numbers from 2010; which is significant in that it shows we are presenting an event that the people want,” Ian said.

The BIASA has been the peak industry body in South Australia for Recreational and Light Commercial Boating for over 50 years, and its essential objective is to maintain/improve the sustainability of the Recreational and Light Commercial Boating Industry SA. The BIASA has been responsible for presenting the Adelaide Boat Show annually since 1961.Glen Jones, General Manager of the BIASA said he was looking forward to a long working relationship with the Club Marine SA Boat & Fishing Show.

“BIASA promotes holiday and recreational boating and related marine activities as safe, environmentally sound and responsible past-times for all members of the
community,” Glen said.

“We welcome the new connection with the SA Club Marine Boat & Fishing Show event which will assist the pursuit of the BIASA’s central objective, to get more people into boats and into the boating lifestyle”.

The 2012 SA Club Marine Boat & Fishing Show will be run on 5-7 October at the Adelaide Showground, and again will be presented in conjunction with the Adelaide
4WD and Adventure Show. The “Two Shows in One” concept was launched in 2010 and the success of the Show so far has stemmed from the fact that it covered such diversity. Visitors are getting a first-class Boat and Fishing Show that brings together boats, boating accessories, trailers, electronics, fishing tackle, water skis and wakeboards, diving gear, jet skis and more; plus an exciting 4WD and Adventure Show featuring new release vehicles, 4WD accessories, caravans and camper trailers, camping accessories and more.

The Show is held in October each year, ideal timing for visitors who are gearing up for the upcoming spring/summer fishing and boating season. Ian said the 2012 Show will incorporate some of Adelaide’s biggest and best exhibitors and a variety of entertainment; plus more exhibition space and a revised layout to allow the different areas of the Show to be more defined. The 2012 Show prospectus will be available soon, and interested exhibitors can contact Ian Digby on (08) 8379 4785 or email ian@adelaidemotorshow.com.au for more info.
