“The Bellingham Marine marina system is still the best in the world.” This statement made by John Spragg, General Manager for Bellingham Marine Australia in a recent interview, it’s a statement that’s been echoed by many proud Bellingham Marine marina owners.

Bellingham’s current marina system, we call it Generation 6, represents state-of-the-art technology in marina development. Innovative features which make the Bellingham system stand out from the rest include:
- One-piece long fingers, which eliminate possible twisting and can provide full length berthing.
- Rounded finger ends, which provide boaters with a soft edge to navigate around.
- Longer length walkway pontoons, which lead to reduced costs.

Right now Bellingham is testing an exciting new composite material to offer clients as an alternative to timber whalers on new and existing marinas, this, along with the use of non-ferrous metals and materials will extend the life of Bellingham’s marina system beyond its already long 50 year life.
“With our 52 years of experience we know which materials will fatigue and end on the scrap heap and which will withstand the environment and the test of time,” said Spragg. Our first marina pontoons, built of similar materials to that, which we use today, have seen marina systems come and go but the original Bellingham system is still afloat and in use today.
