Aussies on show at biggest ever METS

A host of local marine companies were among the 1,471 exhibitors on display at the 2016 METSTRADE show last week, part of the record number of exhibitors at this year’s event.

Organisers added an extra 3,000 m2 of floor space to meet the demand for extra stands this year with the number of exhibitors increasing from the 1,385 stands last year which was also a record. The three-day B2B event in Amsterdam, which ran from November 14-17, saw 6,610 personnel from 1,471 exhibiting companies welcome a final total of 23,702 visits.

Among the large contingent of Australian companies at the show were first time exhibitors Megapulse Green Energy, Skudo, and CE&A. All three companies are making big inroads into the marine market.

Superyacht Australia also had a number of exhibitors in the superyacht pavilion with Muir, VEEM and Analu promoting their products to the growing superyacht sector.

Other Australian businesses who took part in this year’s show include AMI Marine, Analu, Aqualuma LED Lighting, Barz Optics, Bellingham Marine, Coursemaster Autopilots, Greencorp Marine, GME, Hydrive Engineering, Life Cell Marine Safety, Line 7, Magnum Top Gear, Muir, Palm Products, Polyflex Group, PowerDive, Rainman Desalination, Rivergate, Ronstan International, SOS Marine, Superior Jetties, TMQ International, and VEEM.
