As one of Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show’s founding brands, Riviera will mark the 25 year milestone with the Queensland debut of four stunning new models at the four day event held from May 23 to 26.
The new 43 Open Flybridge with aft galley, the 5000 Sport Yacht next generation, the 5800 Sport Yacht now with twin Volvo IPS 900 propulsion, and the new 445 SUV will feature at Riviera’s impressive AUD$5 million floating display.
These latest new models from Australia’s largest and most awarded luxury boat builder are a culmination of Riviera’s rich 33 year heritage, global owner feedback, the latest 3-D CAD design technology, and a team of in-house international designers.
Riviera’s director of brand and communications Stephen Milne said Riviera has enjoyed a long association with the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and it was great to be sharing such an important milestone.
“We look forward to showcasing Riviera’s latest thinking and designs at Sanctuary Cove and what better way to commemorate this great achievement than by exhibiting four exciting new models,” Mr Milne said.
The 43 Open Flybridge has become one of Riviera’s most popular flybridge models with 43 sold to date and now the new aft galley saloon design makes on-board entertaining even more of a breeze. Located directly across from the U-shaped lounge with folding hi-lo dining table, large awning window and glass sliding door opens the saloon to the cockpit making the aft galley the social hub of the boat. Equipped with the latest stainless steel appliances, corian benchtops and a breakfast bar forward with double bar stools, makes this spacious and functional galley popular with the budding master chef as much as family and guests.
The 5000 Sport Yacht next generation with new large hull windows and optional opening portholes to the aft cabin allow more light and fresh air into the lower cabins.
This exciting new model features fixed hull windows to the forward cabin, even greater new storage, enhanced lower lounge design on the two cabin model, and the forward sun pad now features adjustable head rests.
“Having recently undergone a series of design enhancements, the new 5000 Sport Yacht next generation will appeal to many boating aficionados who want and expect a lot more out of their luxury cruiser,” Mr Milne said.
“The Cummins Zeus pod drive 5000 retains the key features that have seen 53 of these models sold internationally. Combined with these new design features will make the 5000 next generation one of our most impressive boats on display.”
The 5800 Sport Yacht is now available with twin Volvo IPS 900 diesels rated at 700hp each as standard. This system offers easy handling and manoeuvring even in tight situations thanks to the joystick control for easy docking, as well as delivering up to 30 per cent better fuel consumption than traditional drive systems.
“The versatile 5800 Sport Yacht has been designed with the discerning boat owner in mind and offers a range of options to suit different owners and lifestyles, and thus takes luxury boating to a new level,” Mr Milne said.
“One of the latest additions to Riviera’s award-winning range is the 445 SUV now with a new saloon design.
“The 445 SUV is in all respects a true embodiment of Riviera heritage. All the familiar and reassuring aspects of proven Riviera boatbuilding DNA are there – purposeful lines, hefty scantlings, the solid feel offshore, spacious layout and Euro-inspired luxurious décor. And of course, a full no-nonsense Flybridge-scale cockpit. The SUV series is a true cross-over between a Flybridge boat and a Sport Yacht.”
The 445 embraces a single, large flexible saloon seating design that multi-functions for dining, cocktail, coffee, reading, lounging, and even extra sleeping if required.
Forward in the saloon is the protected helm station to port, comfortably sheltered within the main deckhouse, giving the feel of a very spacious enclosed flybridge, yet all located on the main entertaining and living deck. Running fore and aft on the port side of the saloon is the galley with high quality stainless steel appliances. A large glass window, sliding glass door and awning window open to create an extended alfresco entertaining area linking the cockpit and saloon as one giant entertaining space.
“Riviera has sold 10 new 445 SUVs since its world release in July 2012, which is a fantastic achievement for such a new model release. The 445 SUV was also celebrated as Riviera’s 5000th boat at a special gala event held in November last year and we look forward to her Queensland debut at the 25th annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show,” Mr Milne said.
Riviera will also have information on the bespoke Belize Motoryacht range on hand at Sanctuary Cove, which was recently named ‘most innovative new builder’ at the inaugural AIM (Active Interest Media) Marine Group Editors’ Choice Awards in Fort Lauderdale, USA. The Belize 52 is available in two models, the Sedan or Daybridge.
To coincide with Riviera’s presence at Sanctuary Cove, Riviera will also stage the Festival of Boating for owners and aspiring power boat owners. Featuring 76 educational workshops and social events, and a unique $15 million red carpet on-water boat show that is all under cover. The Festival of Boating will also mark the world release of the new 565 SUV, as well as featuring a full interior mock-up of the new 50 Enclosed Flybridge ahead of her August world release.
The Riviera Festival of Boating will be held at Riviera’s 14-hectare state-of-the-art facility and offers free entry, free parking and ferry transfers to Sanctuary Cove for registered guests.
Riviera offers 15 different models from 36 to 75 feet across four model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and the new SUV collection.
In 2012 Riviera celebrated the launch of its 5000th boat, the 445 SUV, a significant achievement in the company’s rich 32-year history.
