Riviera CEO Wes Moxey and Chairman Rodney Longhurst welcome 30 new team members to RivieraRiviera, Australia’s favourite and most awarded luxury boat builder has made a positive start to the New Year, recruiting 30 new team members across all aspects of the business to meet the company’s growing global demand for luxury boats.

With a forward order bank reaching well through 2014, an array of upcoming international boat shows, a very active new model development plan and the upcoming world premiere of several exciting new models this year, Riviera is in a very strong position heading into 2014.

Riviera’s chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said Riviera began a recruitment drive in late 2013 as the demand for the company’s Australian designed and built luxury cruisers increased.

“I have just returned from the Dusseldorf Boat Show in Germany where European boating enthusiasts showed great interest in the Riviera and Belize display, which is very encouraging for the Riviera and Belize brands in the vast European market,” Mr Longhurst said.

“We have a dedicated team on the ground now in Miami preparing our new Riviera 50 Enclosed Flybridge and Belize 54 Daybridge for their Americas premiere at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show next week and our senior team from the factory fly out this week to join them.

“We achieved US $9 million in retail sales at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida last October, which is a tremendous achievement and signals the immediate acceptance of our latest models to be released in the Americas.

“Our new SUV Collection and the Belize Motoryacht Collection have certainly been popular with boating enthusiasts from the Americas who appreciate and love the robust, high performance, luxury vessels that Riviera Australia has become synonymous for.

“We have increased our team in line with the growing international and domestic demand for Riviera’s luxury boats and our increasing forward order bank.  We now have almost 400 people onsite at Coomera who are all actively engaged in maximising the opportunities of 2014.”

Riviera’s new team includes boat builders, production managers, aftermarket and service technicians, school-based apprentices, logistics, marketing professionals and finance experts.

“We are pleased to welcome our new team members just in time for the upcoming boat show season, which looks very promising indeed for Riviera and Belize.”

Riviera offers 15 different models from 36 to 75 feet across three model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht and the new SUV collection.

In 2012 Riviera celebrated the launch of its 5000th boat, the 445 SUV, a significant achievement in the company’s rich 34-year history.

Riviera also offers the bespoke Belize Motoryachts.  Inspired by classic luxury details and timeless style, Belize Motoryachts has recently released the new 54-foot Sedan and Daybridge models.
