For the second consecutive year AIMEX together with the Gold Coast City Council hosted seven key international distributors and buyers at Australia’s ASMEX Conference and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show showcasing the Australian marine export and superyacht sectors high quality, innovative products, services and capability.

The inwards mission proved an immense success with considerable business done between the visitors and Australian businesses, many AIMEX members have now had the opportunity to secure relationships and contacts in markets they have not necessarily had the opportunity to enter to date and likewise the visitors are now fully informed as to the capabilities of the Australian industry.

All of the visitors reported of their keen interest in doing business with the Australian companies and were complimentary of experience in learning of the professionalism, high quality and innovation found in Australian products and services.

Roberto Braco a dealer invited for the week from South America was highly commendable of his experience the Riviera facilities, commenting that “I can now tell customers that Riviera has nothing to envy anyone for construction technology and modernity of their product and plant, I am proud to represent this Australian product”.

Alex Chen of Amalthea int’l Inc a distributor in the Asian region commended AIMEX stating that “I want to thank the entire AIMEX team for providing a great opportunity for me to learn about AIMEX members.”

In order to promote the Australian marine exporter innovation and capabilities, AIMEX ensured that the buyers attended the Sanctuary Cove International Boat show in May 2013 to establish relationships with exhibiting exporters in order to gain international momentum and generate further export opportunities.

AIMEX intends to continue to host inwards missions where possible, to ensure maximum global awareness of the superior products and services the Australian marine export industry produces and would welcome expressions of interest.
