The AMSA Board met for the fourth time this year in Hobart between 12–13 August 2015.

AMSA Chairman, Mr Stuart Richey AM, Board Members, Senior Executive and Liaison staff from Domestic Vessels took the opportunity to host a stakeholder reception with an invitation extended to the local maritime community.

In addition to the stakeholder reception, Mr Ron Plaschke, Director of the Ship Management Group; and Ms Toni Moate, Executive Director of the Future Research Vessel Project hosted a tour of The RV Investigator, the new CSIRO research vessel, which supports atmospheric, oceanographic, biological and geoscience research from the tropical north to the Antarctic ice-edge.

The next Board meeting will be held in Canberra on 23–24 September 2015. The Board at this time will also participate in a reception hosted by AMSA for the diplomatic community to celebrate World Maritime Day.
