We often get asked how Riviera luxury motor yachts are shipped in premium condition to international ports in some 60 countries around the world.

Below is a short video of five brand-new Rivieras being loaded on to the French-registered container ship CMA CGM Mozart in Brisbane on December 11, bound for Miami, Florida.

Riviera’s international dealer relationship manager Curt Goldring says the Rivieras featured in this video were lifted on to the Mozart at 3.30am and placed gently into a container below deck – the yachts are a Riviera 525 SUV and 6000 Sport Yacht. Three cargo hatches were then placed on top of the container to ensure safe transit.

The yachts lashed securely above the 65,730-ton Mozart’s deck with the help of our international shipping partner, Aurora Global Logistics, were a 445 SUV, 52 Enclosed Flybridge and 43 Open Flybridge.

Mr Goldring says: “Upon passing our stringent quality control tests here at our world-class Riviera facility at Coomera on Australia’s Gold Coast, the yachts were shrink-wrapped and then cruised up to the Rivergate Marina & Shipyard in Brisbane, where they are lashed to their cradles.

“They are taken the short distance across for loading at 4 knots and are presented pre-lashed to their cradles when they are lifted by crane and gently placed on the ship, where they were firmly secured for the trip across to the Americas, at a maximum speed of just over 14 knots.

Four of the five yachts aboard the Mozart, scheduled to arrive in Miami on January 15, will be on display as part of our stunning eight-yacht showcase at the Miami International Boat Show from 11-15 February 2016, including the 525 SUV which will make her Americas Premiere.

The finishing touches are now being applied to the brand-new Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht that will be shipped from Sydney on December 28 for an estimated arrival in Georgia, USA, on January 30, ahead of her make her World Premiere at Miami International Boat Show (11-15 February 2016).
