AMSA is seeking comment on the proposed amendment to the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law Amendment Bill 2014.
Background:
Transport Ministers have agreed to a minor technical review of the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law Act 2012. The proposed changes are simply technical in nature (for example to correct cross referencing and align definitions between existing legislation and a few are as a result of early experience in the operation of the National Law).
We are seeking public feedback during the consultation period that opened Friday June 13 and closes Thursday June 26, 2014. The consultation draft is available from the AMSA website along with instructions on how to make a submission.
