The Tasmanian-headquartered company urges customers and suppliers to update records to new corporate entity name of Muir Engineering Group Pty Ltd, (MEGPL) from dormant name of Muir Engineering Pty Ltd (MEPL). Same reliable service remains under a different trading name.

MUIR Engineering has changed its corporate structure, due to the purchase of the business by private investors. The business was bought by private investors in July 2012 and at that point, Muir Engineering Pty Ltd (MEPL) transferred all of its assets to Muir Engineering Group Pty Ltd (MEGPL).

What that has meant in practical terms is that MEPL became a dormant entity two years ago while Muir’s operations continued to provide the same reliable service to its customers. To complete the change to MEGPL; MEPL was put into liquidation in June 2014. This liquidation is a procedural matter only and all customer and supplier accounts should now be held with MEGPL as MEPL has been dormant since the purchase by private investors.

What this means for doing business with Muir:

  • Muir Engineering remains the same strong business that it always has.
  • Muir Engineering’s team remain the same.
  • All accounts held should now be with MEGPL.

If you have any queries at all about your account with MUIR, please don’t hesitate to contact Matthew Johnston, managing director, or Grant Asher, chief financial officer, who would be more than happy to discuss the change in name with you. The MUIR team will be at the Sydney International Boat Show, and are looking forward to seeing you at Stand 341, Hall Three.
