AirBerth® Boat Lifts and New Zealand distributors Poly Tech NZ are proud to announce they will be partnering with the New Zealand Coast Guard to provide more economical, environmentally friendly and efficient vessel storage.

This partnership will allow the New Zealand Coast Guard the opportunity to ensure their response vessels are maintained in peak performance and ready for emergency response at any given moment.

The initial project will see AirBerth® Boat Lifts supplied for 9.5m Naiad RIB rescue vessels. The Kiwi designed Naiad brand is synonymous throughout the commercial marine industry for its rugged design and high quality build.

The AirBerth® Boat Lift system is the market leading floating boat lift that enables boat owners to have the ultimate storage solution and protection above the water, whilst enabling them to be back out on the water at a moment’s notice

By investing in AirBerth® Boat Lifts, commercial organisations like the New Zealand Coast Guard have the ability to keep their vessels in peak performance. The initial investment is recouped within a short period of time, on average 2-3 years through the significant reduction in ongoing maintenance costs. During emergency response situations the AirBerth® system enables vessels to be rapidly deployed in a safe and secure manner.

“When we decided at Coastguard Hibiscus that we needed to replace our aging Jetdock™ with a new home for Hibiscus Rescue One, we looked at several available options and settled on the AirBerth. It met all of our needs, for a very reasonable price. The customer service from local agent Paul and his team has been second-to-none and we are loving the ease and speed of launch and retrieve with the new system.” Dan McGowan, Coastguard Hibiscus.

Paul Johnson, Managing Director Poly Tech NZ, exclusive AirBerth® distributors for New Zealand said that we are ecstatic to be working with the New Zealand Coast Guard on this project to supply them with AirBerth’s for their Naiad rescue vessels.

“We value the tireless and often selfless work that our Coast Guard and Emergency services provide the wider community.” he said.

“The investment in the AirBerth® Boat Lift system will greatly enhance their daily on water operations and save them a great deal of money which can be redirected in other initiatives like safety programs and training.”

The AirBerth® Boat Lift system is essentially a product that has the protection of the marine environment at the core of its design. Designed and engineered entirely using HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), this robust material is ideal in the marine environment due to its non-corrosive properties and high UV stability. The AirBerth® system enables recreational boat owners and commercial organisations to eliminate the need to use anti-fouling paints.

Throughout the commercial sector the AirBerth® Boat Lift range is renowned for its proven performance across international markets. Leading Government and Commercial organisations across the globe trust AirBerth® Boat Lifts to protect their fleet of vessels including; Australian Customs, US Coast Guard, Marine Rescue NSW, Department of Planning and Infrastructure, NATO, Australian Coast Guard, US Navy, Roads and Maritime NSW, and Singapore Police.

The 2015 calendar year proved to be another very successful year for Gold Coast based AirBerth® Boat Lifts. The company was awarded with the Maritime Australia Limited National Innovation Award 2015 in October at Pacific 2015. They also were awarded an export recognition award for their consistent performance on the world stage at 2015 Club Marine Australian Marine Export Awards.
