Next month’s event will welcome the highest number of exhibitors to date.

With several weeks to go before RAI Amsterdam opens its doors to the 2015 METSTRADE show on Tuesday 17 November, organisers of the three-day show have announced the latest registration figures.

At least 1,385 exhibitors are now expected in the halls of the RAI Amsterdam convention centre compared to last year’s total of 1,358. With the average stand size now almost back at the levels witnessed prior to the financial crisis of 2007, the show is growing in every respect.

The Superyacht Pavilion (SYP) – one of three specialised areas at the trade show – is now completely sold out, with 221 exhibitors. That is 10% more than in 2014 and a sure sign that the large yacht industry is embracing the METSTRADE concept in ever greater numbers.

The Marina & Yard Pavilion (MYP) has grown to 49 exhibitors. This means the current location is completely full and will require further expansion next year. Meanwhile, there will also be no less than 18 Country Pavilions run by national associations within ICOMIA.

The organisers expect to draw well over 20,000 professionals from around the world. The METSTRADE show saw a 6.5% rise in international visitors in 2014, representing 107 nationalities. With the marine industry continuing to develop strongly worldwide and the established boatbuilding countries back on track, the potential is there to beat the 2015 edition total of 21,086 visitors.

“In addition to being the world’s largest show in its category, METSTRADE is the only truly international show of its kind,” says Irene Dros, Maritime Domain Manager at RAI Amsterdam. “This is an ideal chance for you to meet global distributors from as far afield as New Zealand, Singapore, Middle East or Africa, as well as all over Europe.

“Ambitious and enterprising producers can find distributors and suppliers on all continents, running the gamut of the entire supply chain. And those looking for a unique and different new perspective on the market need look no further. We look forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam in November.”
