ENDLESS ENTERTAINMENT AND FAMILY FUN HIGH ON THE AGENDA

Visitors can now secure tickets to the 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), held from May 21-24. Showcasing more than 300 exhibitors, over 600 boats and a jam-packed schedule of entertainment is sure to keep the 45,000 expected visitors both entertained, amazed and delighted.

Encapsulating the vibrant marine lifestyle, visitors will be welcomed with a thriving hub of fun for the whole family – a carnival-type atmosphere which encompasses an array of social events, entertainment and activities. Impressive exhibitor displays across land and water will feature the industry’s latest vessels and innovations, while exclusive product launches from some of the biggest names in the industry will excite marine enthusiasts.

Roving entertainment, live music and a delectable selection of gourmet food and trendy bars will be on offer, while those looking for a hands-on experience are in for a treat with fishing masterclasses and competitions, educational boating workshops and live cooking demonstrations. A dedicated Kids’ Zone will provide endless entertainment for juniors including face painting, a jumping castle and much more.

SCIBS General Manager Johan Hasser said while SCIBS is proven to be one of the largest marine events in the Southern Hemisphere and a highlight on the Gold Coast social calendar, it’s not just for marine enthusiasts and is an event which caters for a wide audience with diverse interests.

“SCIBS gathers the best in marine innovation from both a local and international perspective, but we are so much more than just a boat show. Each year our team strives to create a memorable four days of live music and entertainment, gourmet food and drink offering and enticing activations the entire family can partake in, all of which play part in the quintessential marine lifestyle.”

Tickets can be pre-purchased online at a discounted rate of $20 for a one-day pass, or $25 at the gate, while children under 15 years will be admitted free.

Travelling to and from the show is easy via a number of transport options on offer including a FREE Park ‘n’ Ride from Warner Bros’ Movie World. This popular system provides convenient parking and air-conditioned shuttles buses allowing visitors a relaxing, stress-free and safe mode of transport.

On-site parking is available for pre-purchase online, while boat owners can opt to anchor their vessels in the Coomera River and arrive by water with Volunteer Marine Rescue for a gold coin donation.

For those who really want to arrive in the lap of luxury, helicopter transfers from Marina Mirage can be arranged with Gold Coast Helitours for $100 one-way, or $180 return.

SCIBS 2020 has something to suit everyone, offering both the chance to indulge in all things marine, or simply enjoy the fantastic line up of food, bars and entertainment across four, fun-filled days.
