In line with their strategy for greater presence and increasing business opportunities for the Australian marine export industry in the Asian region the Australian International Marine Export Group will welcome the Mayor of Kaohsiung, Taiwan to their networking event on the first evening of the Sydney International Boat Show, Thursday 1 August, where the Taiwan International Boat Show and AIMEX will sign a Memorandum of Understanding for a significant  Australian presence at the Taiwan Show in May 2014.

AIMEX  anticipates a high level of interest in members exhibiting at the Taiwan Show given the Australian government push to increase business opportunities in the Asian region.

The Taiwanese guests attending the AIMEX Function and Sydney International Boat Show are expected to include the Taiwan Yacht Industry Association, Mr Joseph Wu of TAITRA the show organisers, and representatives from the Kaohsiung City Government including the Mayor.   They will be given a VIP tour of the Sydney International boat show and are likely to meet with NSW government officials who are also looking to establish representation in Taiwan.

Mr Richard Chapman President of AIMEX has been invited this September to visit Kaohsiung as part of an international delegation to look at the boat show location and facilities.
