The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is conducting a seven day Florida study tour from 12-18 November that includes marina and boatyard visits and attendance at the widely respected Marine Dealer Conference and Expo in Orlando. The study tour of eight Florida marinas and boatyards is being led by respected US marina doyen Jim Bronstien. Jim was a former owner of the Rybovich Marina and refit and repair facility and is the owner of Marina Business Advisors.

MIA President Andrew Chapman said the tour is aimed at owners, investors and senior managers from all countries. “We are getting enquiry from Australia, Asia and Europe. Participants are being attracted by the carefully crafted itinerary, anticipation of the insights to be provided by Jim Bronstien and the reputation of the Marine Dealer Conference and Expo as a world class industry business event. The networking within the study tour group will be a significant added bonus.”

Past MIA President and long standing marina owner and investor Jeff d’Albora will be participating in the tour. “Visiting the marinas selected and talking to senior management and Jim Bronstien will provide valuable insights and ideas for improving my marina. Last year I attended the Marine Dealer event in Orlando and I can highly recommend it as a globally relevant marine business trade show and learning event. Combining the event with the marina study tour makes this a unique package for our industry that is excellent value for money.”

The study tour commences in Fort Lauderdale 12 November enabling industry participants the option of first attending the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. On 15 November the tour moves to Orlando for the Marine Dealer Conference and Expo that concludes 18 November. Full tour details including the cost are available from the MIA website.
