Brendan Cooley is a Western Australian maritime leader and experienced Non-Executive Director with a career that spans international vessel operations, sustainability, and community impact.

As Managing Director of International Maritime Services (IMS), Brendan leads a team recognised globally for delivering complex vessel delivery, crew management, and ferry operations. Under his leadership, IMS has evolved from a regional operator into an internationally respected service provider — achieving ISO triple accreditation, net-zero emissions, and multiple national awards for excellence in maritime operations and culture.

Beyond the commercial sphere, Brendan is Chair of Breast Cancer Care WA, guiding the organisation through a significant governance transformation and embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into its strategy. His balanced perspective across purpose-driven and commercial settings reflects a genuine commitment to people, safety, and sustainable performance.

A long-standing advocate for the Australian maritime industry, Brendan serves on national committees focused on decarbonisation, workforce development, and industry growth. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds postgraduate qualifications in business leadership and sustainability from Curtin University, the University of Western Australia, and Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
