Silver Yachts have today announced the appointment of Simon Turner as Director of Sales for the company’s portfolio of yachts.

Chairman of Silver Yachts, Guido Krass, commented, “We are delighted to have Simon onboard. The interest in the large catamaran market is growing at an exceptional rate and Simon will drive our team in serving this market worldwide. The reception to our 36-metre model during recent yacht shows has been tremendous and we are seeing a variety of requirements from customers for both private and commercial use.”

Turner added. “I am proud and honoured to be working with Silver Yachts. I have been at the heart of catamaran market growth for several years and it is interesting to see the customer demand focus on speed, stability & efficiency. I have been immediately engaged with several private buyers and interestingly with charter operators who can see the clear business advantages in guest capacity and ease of operation of a large catamaran. I am excited to be part of this shift and to work creatively with our customers.”

Simon has over 20 years’ experience in the superyacht industry and has been an avid catamaran sailor all his life. Over recent years he has been responsible for delivering to  customers more than 5 catamaran superyachts including during his period as Global Sales Director of Sunreef yachts. Prior to this, Simon worked for prestigious industry companies such as Camper and Nicholsons, founded the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Conference and co-founded the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association.

Simon will be based in Monaco and working from the Sales Office in EØI Monaco.

Silver Yachts produces a range of monohulls and catamarans ranging from 22 to 85 metres, with the 36-metre yacht “REDUCE” lying in Monaco and for sale.
