Standard Communication Pty Ltd, the holding company for iconic Australian brands GME and Kingray has announced the appointment of Warwick Clancy as its new Chief Executive Officer. With professional qualifications in both electronics and commerce, Clancy commenced his Standard Communications career in 1997 as product manager for the Kingray brand. Subsequently he transferred to a similar role within GME marine and land mobile group, becoming GME Divisional Marketing Manager in 2004. In 2008 C was promoted to General Manager of Operations, with direct responsibility for engineering, manufacturing, IT and logistics. He will assume his new position from July 1st 2013.

Paul Maloy, the company’s outgoing CEO commented: “Warwick brings an abundance of expertise and industry relationships to his new position. His vast knowledge of all aspects of the company’s products, operations and philosophy will enhance our ability to deliver superior outcomes for all our stakeholders” Standard Communications is headquartered in the north-western Sydney suburb of Winston Hills, it has operations in five Australian locations, plus a wholly owned subsidiary in Auckland. Other international distribution is managed through a global network of over fourty specialist distributors.

The company provides a broad range of marine, two-way radio and television distribution product solutions to the domestic and international markets.
